Legal & Compliance Manager

Job Description

1. Corporate Legal Management

• Review and control legal compliance for all contracts (sales, distribution, agency, etc.).
• Provide legal advice to the Board of Directors and internal departments on business, commercial, import–export, marketing, HR, and finance matters.
• Handle legal risks, disputes, complaints, and work with government authorities or partners when issues arise.
• Manage corporate legal documentation: business licenses, trademarks, copyrights, contract templates, internal regulations.
• Provide legal training and compliance guidance to employees.
• Manage the legal team: task assignment, progress supervision, and performance evaluation.
• Oversee legal compliance and risk management across business activities..

2. Compliance Control:

• Advise the Board on planning, implementing, and supervising compliance with company policies, processes, and regulations.
• Identify operational risks and collaborate with departments to recommend improvements.
• Monitor compliance implementation across departments; coordinate with HR in handling violations.
• Receive whistleblowing information, conduct investigations, and verify violations.
• Detect operational risks and propose improvements in processes and compliance systems.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law; preference for candidates specializing in Commercial Law, International Law, or Economic Law.
• At least 10 years of experience in corporate legal and compliance, including 5+ years in a managerial role. Prefer candidates with experience in trading, distribution, consumer electronics, FMCG, or technology.
• Strong knowledge of commercial law, competition law, contracts, advertising, consumer protection, import–export, and product standards.
• Experience with ISO, compliance systems, or risk management is a strong advantage.
• Excellent skills in negotiation, contract drafting, risk management, dispute resolution, and system thinking.
• Good English skills, able to read, understand, and negotiate international contracts.
