Be responsible for all corporate matters include licensing, contract management, intellectual property, policies, tax etc.
- Obtain all necessary required license, approval, permits from competent authorities for business operation, intellectual property registration/protection.
- Contract management: support the negotiation, drafting, and review of contracts that minimize risks and maximize legal rights of the company.
- Litigation management.
- Due diligence for M&A deals (including negotiation, drafting, and review M&A instruments).
Minimize legal risks relating to company’s business operations
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory and ethical standards and highlighting when these are at risk of being breached.
- Participate/design/review and implement legal policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect company business.
- Provide legal training to other departments as instructed by General Counsel.
Acting as business and legal consultant regarding business/corporate planning/structure and strategic decision-making
- Provide accurate, relevant, and timely advice to other department on a variety of legal topics that relate to the daily business operation/products or services under the supervision of the Senior Legal Officer.
- Legal research and other tasks as instructed by the Senior Legal Officer from time to time.
