Logistics Executive

Summary Position:

• The Logistics Executive is responsible for the overall management of empty equipment or containers at the terminal/depot.
• This includes managing container inventory control, coordinating on-hire/off-hire processes, arranging the supply of reefer spares, and preparing reports related to empty containers.

Responsibilities

1. Seal

• Control and monitor Seal update in Seal system for Hai Phong;
• Monitor the seal stock at Hai Phong to order seal in on time;
• Follow up seal update on seal system when depot/terminal dispatch/receipt seal;
• Ask shipper to do all necessary procedure if seal was missed/damaged while in possession of shipper before they can get new seal and also follow up with depot to make sure that damaged/missed seal was updated on seal system accordingly;
• Verify seal released vs seal gate in Full and Seal manifest to inform Documentation team to ask shipper update correct seal number in case seal umber is different;
• Follow up with error messages from seal system to update and correct it;
• Follow up with depot, shipper in case Seal was overdue.

2. Empty container export return to depot

• Instruct customer how to return container to depot, calculate DET fee and seal fee (if seal is used);
• Recheck payment received with Finance;
• Check and require customer pay barge transportation fee, before releasing empty return order (if customer used barge to deliver export container);
• Release "Empty Return Order" to customer and depot, to receipt our equipment.

3. Local charges export

• Calculating Detention/Demurrage and reefer power charge for export in Hai Phong and send email to shipper about these fee;
• Inputting local charge on OVA system: power cost, detention/demurrage charge for export.

Key Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum diploma qualified, preferably in the field of Maritime or Logistic and Supply Chain
• Minimum experience in 1 - 2 years

• Strong in English, both written and spoken
• Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Container management knowledge
• High sense of compliance and integrity
• Depot, terminal experiences are preferred
• General knowledge on container industry 
• Organized with the ability to meet tight deadlines

• Problem solving/analytical skills
