Report to: Product Manager.
Location: 568 Luy Ban Bich, Hoa Thanh Ward, Tan Phu District.
Working time: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (Monday – Friday) and work every other Saturday.
Responsibilities:
• Receive product development requests from customers or the sales team.
• Coordinate with internal teams to prepare and launch tech packs for suppliers to develop fabrics, trims, and samples.
• Source, evaluate, and work with suitable suppliers and factories for each product category.
• Follow up sample development progress, including proto samples, fit samples, PP samples, shipment samples, and other development stages.
• Negotiate pricing, MOQ, lead time, and delivery terms to optimize cost and production timeline.
• Review contracts, purchasing terms, technical requirements, and commercial terms related to FOB orders.
• Understand and implement company standards, compliance requirements, and quality regulations, and ensure suppliers comply with all requirements.
• Monitor raw material status, production schedules, and shipment timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
• Control booking schedules, shipping documents, and coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure products meet quality standards before shipment.
• Manage the overall order timeline from product development to final delivery.
• Update order status to management and related departments on a regular basis.
• Proactively handle issues related to quality, production progress, raw materials, or delivery.
• Propose solutions to optimize materials, garment construction, costing, and ensure orders achieve OTIF (On Time In Full) targets.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or College degree in Garment, Fashion, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Experience in Merchandising, Sourcing, or FOB garment purchasing within the fashion industry.
• Preferably experienced in handling export orders for the U.S. market.
• Good understanding of garment product development, sourcing, and FOB production processes.
• Knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and apparel quality standards.
• Familiar with export compliance requirements, testing standards, and quality regulations.
• Strong negotiation, timeline management, and problem-solving skills.
• Good English communication skills, especially in email correspondence and working with overseas partners.
• Chinese language ability is an advantage.
