Merchandiser

1. Job Purpose

• To manage product development and merchandising activities from concept to production handover, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, timelines, and quality standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Merchandising

• Create and manage item data in internal systems (IP)
• Lead fabric and washing development for denim styles
• Prepare proto development briefs and coordinate with R&D team
• Review and clarify tech packs to ensure accurate understanding of requirements

Sample Development & Approval

• Develop BOM (Bill of Materials) for denim products
• Coordinate capacity booking for sample room and laundry
• Prepare trims and manage approval cards
• Review Proto, SMS, and PP samples to ensure quality and consistency
• Prepare product evaluation sheets and manage SMS/PP sample sign-off

Coordination & Handover

• Coordinate with R&D, production, and related teams for smooth development process
• Ensure proper handover from R&D to production with complete documentation
• Support shipping coordination for samples

Other Duties

• Perform other tasks as assigned by Manager

3. Job Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Garment/Textile, Fashion, or related fields
• 2–3 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in denim industry

Skills & Competencies

• Good understanding of garment development process and denim products
• Knowledge of BOM, tech packs, and sample development stages
• Strong coordination and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Technical Skills

• Familiar with ERP/PLM systems is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Language

• Good command of English
