Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive MES Project Engineer to support our Digital Transformation (DX) and Smart Factory initiatives through the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

This role plays a key part in connecting shop-floor operations with digital systems, working closely with Production, IT, Engineering, and Quality teams. You will contribute directly to building a data-driven, smart manufacturing environment, improving production visibility, process efficiency, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute MES-related projects as part of the Smart Factory and DX roadmap.
• Act as a bridge between Production, IT, Engineering, Quality, and Management to ensure system and business alignment.
• Collect, analyze, and structure manufacturing requirements, and translate them into MES system functions and workflows.
• Support MES testing, validation, deployment, and go-live activities.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and drive timely issue resolution.
• Prepare and deliver clear weekly project status reports for management review.
• Monitor MES performance after go-live and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Support data utilization initiatives to enhance production visibility and operational control.
• Maintain project documentation, meeting minutes, and change request records.
• Proactively identify project risks and propose effective mitigation plans.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related fields).

·         3+ years of experience in manufacturing planning, project engineering, or related roles.

·         Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, shop-floor operations, and production data flow.

·         Experience or strong interest in Digital Transformation (DX) or Smart Factory initiatives.

·         Familiarity with MES / SFC systems is a strong advantage.

·         Good project management and documentation skills (MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint).

·         Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks under tight timelines.

·         Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

·         Good command of English for meetings, documentation, and reporting.
