Motor Intern (Final-year Student, Mechanical Engineering)

Job Summary

Support NPD project delivery. Including drawing preparing in NX UG, send drawing to sourcing team for quotation and samples. Co-work with production to build motor samples and deliver to ME engineer for power tool assembly. Follow up the tool testing and review motor design update. Support the whole tool development process.

Key Responsibilities

• Co-work with project team to confirm motor design and platform selection. Communicate with global motor team to confirm the motor design.
• Release 2D, 3D drawing in UG.
• Co-work with sourcing team to get the quotation and call samples from supplier.
• Lead team to produce motor samples on motor line.
• Review with AME/QA team to verify motor production process and confirm manufacturability.
• Evaluate the new part according to the drawing, FAI & HSF and release SER.
• Follow up motor/tool reliability testing with team.
• Release motor BOM/ECR/ECN/ECO after design confirmed.
• Follow up tool testing and do summary for motor design.

Education:

University Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production or other related Engineering discipline or equivalent. Motor related is better.

Experience:

• Experience in Mechanism, Gearbox system, Plastic Molding & Metal operations.
• Experience in Electrical component / PCBA / Motor structure is an advantage.

Skills:

• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good computer experience with Windows, Microsoft Office, email communication.

Knowledge:

• Product design & project management.
• Familiar on 2D and 3D CAD with UG NX or Pro-E / SolidWorks.

Others:

• Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem-solving skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills – able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
