Job Description

Job Purpose

Manage and further improve the entire capacity planning, production scheduling and inventory control process, ensuring efficient resource utilization, minimal stockouts and meeting customer’s order/demand at the desired service level and optimal cost.

Accountabilities

SUPPLY PLANNING AND INVENTORY CONTROL PROCESS

Key Activities:

  • Coordinate with HQ teams in the US on capacity planning and demand fulfillment.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive production plans considering demand forecasts, production capacity, and material availability.
  • Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams to align production schedules with business objectives.
  • Monitor and continuously improve scheduling and inventory control processes.

Expected Results:

  • Reliable production schedules with clear assumptions and rationale.
  • Processes operate smoothly and are well aligned with other company functions.

SCENARIO ANALYSIS

Key Activities:

  • Facilitate the evaluation and communication of alternative demand and supply planning solutions while ensuring all constraints (resources, efficiency, material availability, etc.) are considered.

Expected Results:

  • Clear visibility of impacts, opportunities, and bottlenecks across the value chain.
  • Plan changes are implemented effectively with minimal cost and business disruption.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

Key Activities:

  • Clarify, communicate, monitor, and align the interests, requirements, and plan changes of all stakeholders involved in supply planning and inventory control processes.

Expected Results:

  • Enhanced visibility into planning performance.
  • Stakeholders are aligned and able to execute according to production schedules.

INFORMATION & REPORTING MANAGEMENT

Key Activities:

  • Generate and provide accurate and transparent reports on scheduling performance and inventory accuracy across manufacturing operations.

Expected Results:

  • Improved planning performance (Perfect Order Index, inventory accuracy, etc.).
  • Better performance visibility enabling stakeholders to meet operational requirements.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Key Activities:

  • Initiate and drive continuous improvements in supply planning and inventory processes and procedures.

Expected Results:

  • Reduced waste and operational losses.
  • Improved processes, systems, and procedures.

Job Requirement

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a related field

Experience/skills required:

·       Above 6-8 years’ relevant experience with at least 3 years at managerial position. Preferably in one or more of following areas:

·       Production scheduling/planning

·       Project management and team member in supply chain planning projects

·       Furniture field

·       Knowledge of supply planning and scheduling

·       Strong logic and analytical skills and attention to detail

·       Ability to manage and lead staff to excellent performance.

·       Ability to influence, establish and maintain collaborative partnerships.

·       Proactive, resourceful, and efficient

·       Team building, motivation, and coaching skills

·       Excellent communication skills

·       Capable of using planning tools and ERP system

·       Excellent in Excel, PowerPoint, SQL..
