A packaging engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and controlling packaging processes to ensure product protection, cost efficiency, and full compliance with organization and US market requirements.
- Design and develop packaging solutions (cartons, foam, PE bags, and other materials) that meet US standards and specific customer requirements, ensuring product safety during handling and transportation.
- Create, standardize, and maintain packing SOPs for all UPH products, including both Inline products and New Go developments.
- Analyze, identify root causes, and troubleshoot packaging-related damages occurring during packing, storage, and shipping processes.
- Collaborate closely with Sourcing and QC teams to develop new packaging materials and continuously improve existing ones.
- Work directly with US teams to align on packaging engineering standards, communicate effectively, and implement improvements.
- Support and coordinate with US teams in resolving packaging issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining or improving packaging quality and performance.
- Establish proper packaging methods, processes, and tools to ensure efficiency and consistency in production.
- Build, implement, and maintain a strong packaging engineering system to ensure compliance across all production lines.
- Conduct audits and monitor compliance of packaging materials, methods, and processes according to company standards.
- Promote continuous improvement activities in packaging engineering, focusing on quality, cost, and efficiency.
