Job Description

A. PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

The Master Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to ensure alignment between customer demand, revenue target, materials availability, and manufacturing capacity. This role is critical in balancing supply and demand while supporting revenue target, on-time delivery, inventory control, and operational efficiency in a high-mix, fast-paced EMS environment.

B. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with Planners, Productions and Program Managers to ensure revenue budget execution aligns with customer forecasts, sales orders, backlog, capacity and inventory strategy.                                     

  • Coordinate with buyers, planners, and production to ensure readiness for scheduled builds.                                            
  • Analyze demand vs. capacity and escalate constraints to cross-functional teams.                                            
  • Monitor and adjust plans for forecast changes, supply delays.                                            
  • Participate in S&OP meetings and weekly planning reviews.                                            
  • Drive planning accuracy and process discipline using ERP and planning tools.                                            
  • Collaborate closely with Program Managers, Operations, and Procurement to ensure plan alignment.                                            
  • Prepare reports and analytics (WOS, capacity utilization, demand gaps, OTD) for management and customer review.                                            
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning processes and systems.                                            
  • Lead or support ERP system enhancements related to planning functionality and data integrity.                                            

Job Requirement

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.    

2. Experience: From 5+ years of experience in production/material planning, with at least 2 years in a master planning role.                        

3. Others: 

- Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., AX, SAP, Oracle, D365).                                            
- Proficiency in Excel and planning analytics tools.                                            
- Experience in EMS or high-mix/low-volume manufacturing environment.                                            
- Understanding of lead time management, capacity planning, and MPS logic.                                            
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.                                            
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.                                            
- Preferred Qualifications:                                            
* Familiarity with SIOP/S&OP practices.                                            
* Exposure to customer-facing planning processes and KPI reporting (OTD, Inventory Turns, Forecast Accuracy)
