Job Description

1. Production & Capacity Planning

  • Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer demand, forecasts, and capacity.
  • Balance machine capacity, manpower, and materials to meet delivery commitments.
  • Monitor plan vs. actual production, identify deviations, and propose corrective actions.
  • Support peak season planning, overtime planning, and manpower adjustment.

2. Material & Inventory Planning

  • Coordinate with Procurement and Warehouse to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages, overstock, and slow-moving materials.
  • Support inventory optimization and stock accuracy initiatives.
  • Participate in stock take planning and variance analysis.

3. Order Management & Coordination

  • Work closely with Sales / Customer Service to align production plans with customer orders and priorities.
  • Communicate production schedules and changes clearly to Production, QA, and Warehouse teams.
  • Support urgent orders, rescheduling, and change management.

4. Team Management (2 Planning Staff)

  • Assign tasks, monitor workload, and coach planning staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review planning reports, data accuracy, and system updates.
  • Develop team capability in planning tools, ERP/MRP systems, and analytical skills.

5. Reporting & Data Analysis

  • Prepare planning and operations reports for Plant Operations Manager (delivery performance, capacity utilization, inventory status).
  • Analyze trends, risks, and bottlenecks; propose improvement actions.
  • Support KPI tracking related to OTD, inventory turnover, and planning accuracy.

6. Continuous Improvement & Compliance

  • Participate in Lean / Kaizen / cost-saving initiatives related to planning and operations.
  • Support audits, internal controls, and compliance requirements related to planning data and inventory.
  • Contribute to system improvement, process standardization, and SOP development.

Job Requirement

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields.

Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in production planning / supply chain in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 1–2 years in a senior planner or team-leading role is preferred.
  • Experience in plastic, packaging, or FMCG manufacturing is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, and inventory control.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with SAP or Business Central systems and Excel (pivot, planning analysis).
  • Good communication and coordination skills across departments.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities.
  • Leadership mindset with hands-on working style.
