Job Purpose:
The Assistant to Planning Manager supports the Planning Manager in daily production and material planning activities to ensure smooth production flow, on-time delivery, and accurate planning data. The role works closely with production, purchasing, warehouse, and customer service teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1/ Production Planning Support:
• Assist in preparing and updating production plans and schedules.
• Monitor work orders (WO), production progress, and work-in-process (WIP).
• Monitor production status and shipment schedules in the ERP system.
• Coordinate with production departments to follow the approved plan.
• Support tracking of capacity, lead time, and delivery performance.
2/ Material Planning Support:
• Monitor material status and schedule
• Monitor material inventory.
3/ Reporting & Coordination:
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly planning reports.
• Support Planning Manager in identifying risks of late delivery.
• Communicate planning updates with related departments.
• Ensure planning data is accurate and timely.
• On behalf of Planning Manager, attend meetings, solve issue inside and outside department
Job Requirements
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Good English communication.
Experience:
• 1–3 years of experience in production planning, material planning, or related role.
• Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
Skills:
• Basic knowledge of production and material planning.
• Good analytical and Excel skills.
• Ability to organize data and follow schedules.
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
