Planning Officer

Job Summary:          

The Planning Officer is responsible for coordinating demand and supply planning activities to ensure optimal inventory levels and efficient order fulfillment. This role supports business operations by analyzing sales trends, managing forecasts, and aligning supply plans with customer demand and company objectives.

The Planning Officer works closely with cross-functional teams including sales, procurement, logistics, and operations to ensure timely material availability, minimize stock-outs and excess inventory, and improve overall supply chain performance. The role also involves maintaining accurate planning data in systems (e.g., SAP), monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns. Conduct Monthly Demand & Supply Review.

·       Analyze available data from demand planning (Forecast accuracy & Bias) to propose/implement solutions to improve forecast accuracy.

·       Monitor and report on important changes in sales, both business opportunities and demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

·       Keep tracking the company’s inventory, maintain sufficient inventory to fulfill demands.

·       Analyzing inventory reports and recommending changes in the way the company handles inventory if any. Report and tracking Aging stock / slow-moving stock.

·       Manage Master Data and Parameters to be input into SAP and extract data from SAP to serve Demand & Supply planning tasks.

·       Coordinate with transporters & WH to implement internal transfer plan with tracking &

qualifying supplying service.

• Education       : Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/ Foreign Trade/ Supply Chain, or related field.
• Experience     :

Ø  3 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or inventory management, preferably in chemical distribution, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.

Ø  Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and planning tools.

Ø  Demonstrates strong computer abilities, including proficiency in MS Office, advanced analysis and excel data export.

Ø  Meticulous attention to detail.
