Process Innovation Technologist

Olam Food Ingredients (ofi) is a global leader offering naturally good food & beverage ingredients and solutions. ofi commenced operations in Vietnam in 1997, setting up its representative office. Since then, we have established an extensive presence across different parts of Vietnam, including our head office in Ho Chi Minh City and regional offices in Binh Dinh, Long An, Dong Nai, Phu Yen, Lam Dong and Gia Lai Provinces.

ofi Vietnam is currently the largest exporter of Cashews, Pepper & Instant Coffee in Vietnam, investing in the state-of-the-art instant coffee facility and running 7 large factories with 7,500 employees across Central & South Vietnam. Our operations have an interface with a farmer network of 2 million farmers. We are also amongst the largest exporter of Green Coffee in Vietnam.

We have established sustainability programmers for black pepper, coffee & cashew. We are excited about our prospects in Vietnam as the country has huge potential in agriculture.

Position objective

The objective of this role is to drive improvements, optimize operations, reduce costs, increase productivity, and deliver better outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify the areas of improvement and initiate the changes in process to increase productivity and efficiency
• Support project & innovation team on all projects and document all phases of development
• Research on trends and technologies to stay up to date on advancements
• Generate technical drawings and design as per the given specification needed for process innovation projects.
• Coordinate with Product Development Team, Engineering Team, Project Team, Production Team, Quality Team
• Other tasks assigned by Manager

• Strong foundation in engineering principles and familiar with all unit operations
• Moderate to advance scientific technology knowledge
• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office & AutoCAD
• Able to analyze and collate information
• Good oral and written English communication skills.
• Able to work as part of a team in a manufacturing environment
• More organized and able to manage to meet deadlines.
• Self-Starter and fast adaptive with practical thinking mindset
