Process Quality Engineer

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB:

• Be responsible for developing, deploying, supervising, and validating quality standards, quality management systems, quality control plans, and condition management from start to finish to ensure product quality meets customer expectations.
• Conduct activities with broad application of quality principles, theories, concepts, and practices.
• Apply seasoned professional knowledge and expertise to resolve a wide range of quality issues using creative solutions.
• Develop working knowledge of related functional areas.
• Analyze complex quality issues by evaluating relevant data and identifiable factors.
• Demonstrate sound judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques to solve problems.
• Create project work plans, monitor progress, understand team roles, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Prepare reports, communicate findings clearly and concisely, present to customers when required, lead group discussions, and adapt communication to different audiences.
• Work closely with senior internal and external stakeholders within the area of expertise.
• Contribute to the organization by ensuring high-quality work from both self and team members.
• Facilitate teamwork and support team decisions.
• Work independently with limited supervision.
• Identify issues and develop effective solutions.
• Complete routine assignments independently while following general guidance for new tasks.
• Take accountability for identifying required tasks to achieve defined goals and continuously improve service, efficiency, and quality of work.

1. PROCESS CONTROL

• Track non-conforming products and abnormal lots, and work with related functions to resolve quality issues.
• Identify improvement opportunities and develop solutions to enhance quality control plans and process capability; regularly review process capability.
• Monitor the execution of SPC and FMEA plans.
• Participate in and coordinate customer complaint investigations and troubleshooting; select appropriate methods and techniques to resolve issues.
• Follow up on Corrective Action Requests (CAR) related to process quality issues; lead group discussions and support team decisions.
• Execute quality improvement projects.
• Validate and justify quality inspection and test results.
• Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with process standards.
• Report quality issues and prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
• Participate in customer audits, ISO audits, and internal audits.

2. PROCESS DEVELOPMENT

• Develop quality control plans and work instructions to ensure finished goods (FGs) meet requirements and prevent defects from reaching customers.
• Collaborate with the engineering team using quality tools such as FMEA and SPC.
• Build and maintain a quality know-how database and quality standards for inspectors.
• Develop procedures to strengthen and drive the quality management system.
• Develop internal quality standards.
• Participate in process qualification for new parts, engineering changes, and new manufacturing processes.

Educational Background: BS degree in engineering or sciences, prefer from the field of optics engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial engineering

Working Experience: At least 2 years in this role at international manufacturing company

Special Abilities:

• Experience in process control.
• Experience with quality tools, including FMEA, SPC, 5 Whys, problem solving, and ISO 9001.
• Able to communicate and write in English.
