Product Development Engineer II (Experience Mechanical Design)

Development responsible for engineering projects run in VN

•  Leads product development and integrates with process development using the Lean Product Development method and Sonion Development Methodology (SDM) in order to bring the product to released status within the committed timeline and with the committed quality level and product cost.
•  Works closely with Project manager, Process development engineer, Production engineer, Quality engineer, Application engineer, and R&D Engineer in Europe where needed
•  Gives input to project manager about the feasibility, timeline, and risks regarding the technical part of the project.
•  Responsible for the R&D deliverables defined by the Milestone system.

Responsible Development Engineer for projects transferred from Europe from design freeze to product release.

•  Is involved early in the development project as a contributor to the process/product concept choice. Input to the process feasibility of the concepts for production, inputs to the design FMEA, and evaluates development samples produced in Vietnam. Together with the process development engineer, drives the product to release status.
•  Conducts product failure analysis in cooperation with the process development engineer and production engineering. Drives all development-related failure modes to a conclusion and implements the corrective actions.

 Is the first point of contact for R&D support for the released platforms and variants regarding changes in

Responsible for development samples

•  Executes sample requests from R&D in Europe for development project with existing production equipment in VN with committed timeline and quality requirements
•  Cooperates with Prototype Engineer, process development engineer and designer of industrialization in VN for making first article samples in engineering projects run from VN

Employee is responsible for proactively receiving, searching, learning, and complying with prevailing law and company regulations which are communicated via internal information channels including broadcasting, email, SBS (Sonion Business System), notice board and electronic notice in every area. This content includes, but is not limited to: ISO on Quality Management, Environment, Occupational Health & Safety, Code of Conduct and Corporate Social Responsibility, Labor safety and Fire Prevention and Fighting, Work Rule and Employee Handbook, and other internal regulations.

Attending relevant training courses on QMS–ISO 9001, EMS-ISO 14001, OH&SMS-ISO45001 where required.

1. Education: University degree; background in mechanical engineering is preferable

2. Professional Experience: 

• 2 years of experience in mechanical design and product design
• At least 1 year of working experience in Engineering
• Can use Solidwork in working

3. Good command of English (both writing and speaking)
