Job Purpose
- Production Data Engineer is responsible for transforming manufacturing data into actionable insights. By combining rigorous data analysis, you will monitor KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement projects. Your mission is to maximize labor productivity, stabilize processes, and ensure that management has a clear, accurate view of production performance.
Responsibilities
1.Production Data Management & KPI Monitoring
- Collect, validate, and analyze production data (Output, Efficiency, Scrap, Downtime, Overtime).
- Develop and maintain daily/weekly/monthly production KPI dashboards.
- Identify performance gaps and abnormal trends through data analysis.
- Ensure data accuracy and standardization across production lines.
- Support management review with clear and structured data reporting.
2.Productivity & Efficiency Improvement
- Conduct line balancing and manpower optimization studies.
- Perform time study and establish standard cycle time.
- Improve labor productivity (Output / Man-hour).
- Optimize layout and material flow to reduce waste.
- Support overtime control through capacity and workload analysis.
3.Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Lead Kaizen activities and waste reduction projects.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing Principles (5S, waste elimination, visual management).
- Drive scrap reduction and process efficiency improvement.
- Monitor and track improvement project effectiveness.
4.Problem Solving & Process Optimization
- Conduct root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, and 7 QC tools.
- Improve process stability and reduce variation.
- Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Standardize best practices and update SOPs when necessary.
5.Capacity Planning & Resource Optimization
- Perform capacity analysis and bottleneck identification.
- Support production planning with manpower and equipment utilization analysis.
- Recommend improvement plans to balance workload across lines.
