Production Shift Leader is responsible for managing and supervising production activities during the assigned shift to ensure safe, efficient, and stable operations. The role ensures production targets for output, quality, efficiency, and delivery are achieved while maintaining discipline, compliance with standard processes, and effective team coordination.
Responsibilities
Lead daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and employee performance.
Conduct daily shift meetings covering production status, quality, customer commitments, and potential risks.
Coordinate closely with other Shift Leaders and departments such as QA, Technical and Maintenance to ensure smooth communication, on-time delivery, and efficient problem resolution.
Monitor production performance, yield, scrap rate, manpower, and production records; implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company policies, IATF 16949, and work procedures.
Support employee training, development, and performance management while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Report production progress, nonconformities, and other issues to management, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Follow 5S and its standards during shift working. Conduct 5S+ and LPA audits as assignment / responsibility and report the results to superior and / or interested parties.
Improve quality of product, processes and working environment through continuous improvement initiatives.
Instruct and support coworkers raising up their ideas to improve the working environment and support for cost-down strategy.
Responsible for the performance and compliance of employees during the working shift.
With remarkable support from superiors, read simple reports and identify the possible causes prior to taking corrective actions.
Job Requirement
Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial management field.
At least 3 years experience in production as Shift Leader in Manufacturing company.
Capable of change management (of man, machine, material...) and ability to manage a working shift.
Has knowledge related to manual manufacturing of the responsible area, capability of dealing with minor issues, able to use Lean and Production tools daily.
Problem-solving, decision-making, and root-cause analysis abilities.
Good Microsoft Office skills.
Good in English skills.
