Job Description

The Production Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving training programs for operators, technicians, and seasonal/temporary workers in the PCBA/EMS production lines. The role ensures every employee — permanent or seasonal — reaches required competency (IPC standards, ESD control, SMT/AOI/wave solder processes, safety) as quickly and consistently as possible, directly supporting production quality, yield, and new-hire retention.

•      Design and maintain structured onboarding and skills-training curricula for new operators, including seasonal/temporary workers, covering ESD control, IPC-A-610 workmanship standards, SMT/THT processes, AOI, and safety procedures.

•      Deliver hands-on training at the production line, including classroom sessions and on-the-job coaching, and certify operators before independent line assignment.

•      Develop and update training materials, visual work instructions, and skills matrices in line with current process specifications and customer/IPC requirements.

•      Conduct skills assessment and re-certification for existing operators (e.g., annual IPC re-training, new product introduction training).

•      Partner with Line Leaders and Production Supervisors to identify skill gaps affecting yield, defect rate, or line efficiency, and design targeted refresher training.

•      Support the seasonal-worker retention plan by delivering a structured, confidence-building onboarding within the first 72 hours of a new hire's employment.

•      Track and report training completion rates, certification status, and training effectiveness (e.g., defect rate before/after training) to Production and HR.

•      Coordinate with HR and staffing agencies on training schedules for incoming batches of seasonal workers, ensuring training capacity matches hiring volume.

•      Maintain training records and documentation to support customer audits and ISO 9001 / IATF (if applicable) requirements.

•      Continuously improve training methods based on feedback, error patterns, and new equipment/process introductions.

Job Requirement

•      Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field (equivalent hands-on experience also considered).

•      Minimum 3 years of experience in PCBA/EMS/electronics manufacturing, with direct exposure to SMT, THT, AOI, and hand-soldering processes.

•      Practical knowledge of IPC-A-610 workmanship standards (IPC certification is a strong advantage).

•      Prior experience in a training, line leader, or process engineering role within an electronics manufacturing environment.

•      Strong communication and coaching skills; able to explain technical procedures clearly to operators with varying experience levels.

•      Working proficiency in Vietnamese and basic English (for reading customer/IPC documentation).
