Project Engineer – Civil & Construction (2-Year Contract)

About the Role

We are seeking a Project Engineer – Civil & Construction to support the execution of major capital and facility improvement projects at our manufacturing site.

This role will be responsible for overseeing civil construction activities from project planning through execution and close-out, ensuring project delivery in compliance with safety, quality, cost, and timeline expectations. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to deliver both large-scale and site infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning

• Support the planning, design review, and execution of civil and construction projects across the site.
• Conduct site assessments and provide technical recommendations to support project development.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, Bills of Materials (BOM), and technical documents to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

Construction Management

• Supervise day-to-day construction activities and ensure work is executed according to approved designs, project specifications, and company standards.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively drive corrective actions when required.
• Ensure contractors comply with construction quality requirements, project schedules, and site regulations.
• Perform inspections and verify completion of construction milestones prior to acceptance.

Safety & Compliance

• Review contractor Method Statements (MS), Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and related construction documentation.
• Ensure all activities are executed in compliance with local regulations and Kimberly-Clark Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.

Documentation & Project Closeout

• Maintain accurate project documentation and construction records.
• Review, update, and manage as-built drawings upon project completion.
• Support project handover and close-out activities.

Project Scope

The role will support a portfolio of construction projects, including:

• Major warehouse expansion/new warehouse construction project (~20,000 sqm).
• Site infrastructure upgrades and facility improvement initiatives.
• Building renovation, roofing replacement, office and meeting room construction, and other civil-related projects.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or facility-related projects.
• Proven experience managing contractors and overseeing on-site construction activities.
• Experience in industrial, warehouse, factory, or manufacturing projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control, and safety standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
