Procurement & Sourcing
Source and procure raw materials (steel wire rods, alloy steel, stainless steel, coatings, lubricants, packaging materials, etc.).
Develop and maintain a reliable supplier base for domestic and international vendors.
Identify alternative suppliers to mitigate supply chain risks.
Vendor Management
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and long-term contracts.
Evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, delivery, and service.
Conduct supplier audits and support vendor development initiatives.
Inventory & Planning
Coordinate with production planning to forecast material requirements.
Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
Monitor lead times and ensure on-time material availability.
Cost Control & Budgeting
Achieve cost reduction targets through strategic sourcing and negotiation.
Track material cost trends and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
Prepare and manage the procurement budget.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure purchased materials meet technical specifications and quality standards.
Work closely with Quality and Engineering teams on material approvals and trials.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with Production, Quality, Stores, Finance, and Logistics teams.
Resolve supply issues affecting production schedules.
Support new product development with timely sourcing of materials.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate purchase records, contracts, and supplier documentation.
Prepare procurement reports on costs, savings, supplier performance, and risks.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Experience
5–10 years of procurement experience in manufacturing, preferably in fasteners, automotive, metal, or engineering industries.
Strong experience in raw material procurement (steel, alloys, coatings).
Skills & Competencies
English or Chinese communication
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes for screws/fasteners.
Knowledge of inventory management and ERP systems.
Analytical mindset with strong cost-control focus.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
