Purchasing Officer (Raw material)

I.Job Purpose:

Responsible for procuring raw material for the factory, ensuring full supply chain integration, cost optimization, and quality control…

II.Main Dutie:

• Material planning & ordering: Coordinate with the Planning department to calculate raw material needs, send forecasts to vendors, issue POs from PR, get approvals, and track delivery timelines to ensure smooth plant operations and schedule shipments accordingly.
• Inventory control: Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent plant shortages or excess
• Quality resolution: Collaborate closely with QA/QC and vendors to resolve raw material quality issues upon arrival.
• Managing the supply market: Conduct market intelligence, manage prices, handle RFPs/bidding, and negotiate competitive prices and favorable payment terms to support business cash flow.
• Material sourcing, saving and back-up: Source alternative raw materials to drive cost-saving projects and secure reliable backup sources.
• Supplier management: Develop and build relationships with vendors, evaluate supplier capacity and capabilities for strategic growth
• NPD: Coordinate with cross-functions for NPD management.
• Cross-functional work: Coordinate daily with Production, Planning, Import, QA/QC, warehouse, R&D...

·       University degree in Supply Chain or its equivalent.

·       At least 2 years of working experience as Buyer especially purchasing in Raw material

·       Capable of doing multiple jobs. Ability to work independently & under pressure.

·       Good negotiation, understanding of Import-Export procedure, SAP…is an advantage

·       Good at English communication and computer skills

·       Proactive attitude and good team work spirit.

·       Demonstrate a strong work ethic.
