Job Description

I/ Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Management:

  • Execute local and overseas purchasing activities in line with cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contracts with domestic and international suppliers.
  • Prepare, review, and manage purchase contracts in compliance with company policies.
  • Issue and manage Purchase Orders (PO) based on final negotiations and approved requirements.
  • Ensure continuous supply of required materials and proactively identify potential supply risks.
  • Source and evaluate new suppliers; develop alternative supply sources when necessary.
  • Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement processes.

2. Inventory Control & Planning:

  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, chemicals, and other goods.
  • Coordinate with SCM and Production teams to develop purchasing plans.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.

3. Issue Resolution & Compliance:

  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues related to pricing, quality, delivery, and invoicing.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable laws and regulations, particularly those related to chemical management.
  • Prepare purchasing reports and provide data analysis as required.

Job Requirement

II/ Job Requirements:

1. Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Import–Export, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.

2. Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience in purchasing after graduation.
  • Mandatory experience in overseas procurement (import purchasing).
  • Experience in contract negotiation and contract management, particularly international contracts.
  • Experience in inventory monitoring and purchase planning.
  • Experience in steel or chemical industry is preferred.
  • Experience working in foreign-invested companies is an advantage.

3. Knowledge:

  • Basic knowledge of chemistry and understanding of chemical regulations/laws.
  • Knowledge of import–export procedures and international commercial terms (Incoterms is an advantage).

4. Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Good command of English (able to communicate with overseas suppliers and review contracts).
