Job Description

Our client is a foreign-invested company, now looking for a Purchasing Staff (Garment, $700, ID 17641)

  • Review current inventory levels before issuing purchase orders (P.O.).

  • Ensure Trim Request (TR) is received from the merchandiser prior to placing any orders.

  • Prepare purchase orders for all accessories and trims.

  • Monitor stock levels of trims in the warehouse to ensure uninterrupted production flow.

  • Coordinate with the warehouse to issue trims according to the production schedule and maintain accurate records of issued and available stock.

  • Verify that vendors deliver the correct quality and quantity as per the purchase order or invoice.

  • Provide the warehouse team with a copy of the P.O. or packing list to verify the quantity and number of packages received.

  • Coordinate with suppliers to issue debit notes in cases of quality discrepancies or material shortages.

  • Review supplier VAT invoices and packing lists, and forward them to the Finance department for processing.

  • Maintain a comparison matrix outlining the advantages and disadvantages of all vendors.

  • Keep an updated list of vendor contact information.

  • Assist in the development of trims according to buyer or internal requirements.

  • Coordinate trim sales to buyers and follow up with the Finance team for debit note issuance.

  • Manage costs by comparing prices and quality across different suppliers.

  • Support procurement of office stationery and equipment as required.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Garment Technology, or a related field.

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in trims/accessory purchasing or merchandising within the garment or textile industry.

  • Solid understanding of garment production and trims functionality.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Basic knowledge of supply chain or warehouse management procedures.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and capable of working under pressure.

  • Good verbal and written communication in English.
