Job Description

Create a safe and purposeful learning environment where students understand they are a contributing member of a larger community
Develop students’ cognitive, creative, critical thinking and reflection skills and empower them to become independent learners
Develop units of study based on the school-adopted MOET and international content standards, as well as the PYP Curricular Framework
Design meaningful and relevant assessments that provide every student with an opportunity to demonstrate understanding
Facilitate engaging, student-centered learning activities aimed at building the skills and concepts necessary to be successful on unit and external assessments
Consistently communicate with parents about student progress both academically and behaviorally as per school policy
Assist in the development of the school’s syllabus and learning materials as required
Attend professional development workshops as directed by supervisors
Complete pupil reports in line with school policy. Attend parent communication events as required and keep parents informed about their child’s performance and future targets.
Involve in extra-curricular activities (ASA), field trips and school events throughout school year.
Participate in and assist with school events as required
Other appropriate tasks assigned by the PYP Coordinator or Head of School
