Job Description

Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (if applicable), customer-specific requirements, and internal standards.
  • Ensure all quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation are properly controlled and updated.
  • Lead internal and external quality audits and coordinate corrective actions.

Product & Process Quality

  • Establish and monitor quality standards for metal stamping, welding, assembly, surface treatment, and packaging processes.
  • Ensure effective implementation of quality control plans, inspection standards, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SPC methodologies.
  • Monitor production quality performance through KPIs such as PPM, scrap rate, rework rate, customer complaints, and first-pass yield.

Customer Quality Management

  • Serve as the primary quality contact for customers regarding quality issues and improvement initiatives.
  • Lead customer complaint investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, etc.).
  • Ensure timely containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions.

Supplier Quality Management

  • Collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to evaluate and improve supplier quality performance.
  • Conduct supplier audits and qualification assessments.
  • Drive supplier corrective action processes and continuous improvement programs.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop QA/QC engineers, inspectors, technicians, and quality supervisors.
  • Establish performance objectives and provide coaching to enhance team capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, quality awareness, and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead quality improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and problem-solving tools.
  • Analyze quality data and trends to identify opportunities for process optimization.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives through defect prevention and waste elimination.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety policies.
  • Manage non-conforming materials and products through appropriate disposition processes.
  • Participate in risk assessments and process validation activities.

Job Requirement

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in quality management within metal stamping, sheet metal fabrication, automotive, electronics, or industrial manufacturing.
  • At least 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Experience working with international customers and quality standards.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of:
    • Metal stamping processes
    • Sheet metal fabrication
    • Assembly manufacturing
    • Welding processes
    • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
    • APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans
    • ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 systems
  • Proficiency in quality tools and statistical analysis techniques.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Project management capability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluent English communication (written and spoken).
