Quantity Surveyor (QS)

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Measure quantities of all trades accurately
• Building up unit rates for estimating purposes
• Request quotations from suppliers
• Prepare BQs, Cost Estimates, Tender Document etc to a high standard
• Review Tender Submissions and prepare Tender Reports
• Prepare Cost Reports to a high standard
• Help to manage and improve the cost information database
• Assess the validity and value of project variations
• Review and agree interim payment applications from contractors

Education:

• University Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Economic Engineering.
• QS Cost Engineering Certificate preferred.

Knowledge:

• Good working knowledge of MS Office software and design software.
• Good working knowledge of Cubicost preferred.

Experience: 5-7 years of experience preferred.

• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Accurate and detailed working ethic
• Good communication, time management and problem-solving skills
• Confident and outgoing personality, with a pro-active approach to work
• Honest, Responsible and Decisive
• Ability to work with all levels of employees and management
• Be comfortable in a team environment, and be flexible with work assignments
