R&D Cosmetics Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled R&D Cosmetics Specialist to join our innovative team in whold Matsumoto group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cosmetic science and a passion for developing new cosmetic formulations. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in the cosmetics industry by self research or conecting whith our RD members of headquater and other branches for exchange information.

Job Responsibilities:

- New formulation development: Develop new cosmetic formulations, including skincare, haircare, and makeup products, ensuring they meet company standards and customer needs.

- Modify the original formulation from Japan to meet local conditions.

- Conduct thorough research on new ingredients, raw materials, and technologies. Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive products.

- Testing and Evaluation: Evaluate new materials from suppliers, create new testing data to support sales activities.

- Collaboration: Work closely with RD in Japan and sales team in local to ensure the formula construction in accordance with customer needs and product distribution rights.

- Responsible for operating the laboratory.

- Responsible for sample sending to the customers (collaborate with part time staff).

- Provide technical advice and support to customers, including participation in client meetings or co-visits with the sales team.

- Technical training for new members.

·       Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in related fields such as Chemistry, Cosmetic Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or other related sciences.

·       Work Experience:

-        At least 2-3 years of experience in the cosmetics R&D field.

-        Experience in developing formulas from the concept stage to finalizing the formulation.

-        Deep understanding of cosmetic ingredients and market trends.

·       Technical Skills:

-        Ability to analyze and synthesize scientific information to apply to research and formulation development.

-        Practical laboratory skills, including build formulation, testing, and optimization of fomulas quality.

-        Proficiency in using laboratory equipment.

·       Soft Skills:

-        Teamwork and effective communication skills to collaborate with other team members or other branches.

-        Time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to complete projects on time.

-        Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to provide innovative solutions for formulation improvement.

·       Other Requirements:

-        Ability to read and understand scientific reports, research documents, and write reports in English.

-        Self-learning capability and keeping up-to-date with new trends and technologies in the cosmetics industry.

-        Carefulness, meticulousness, and patience in work.

-        Work time: 8:30 - 17:00  from Mon to Friday

-        Salary : Negotiate (Depend on experiences, network and skills)
