Job Description

The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all products comply with relevant local and international food safety regulations, standards, and labeling requirements. The role involves preparing and submitting product registration dossiers, maintaining regulatory documentation, and supporting internal teams and customers on compliance matters related to food ingredients, additives, and chemicals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all food chemical products comply with applicable regulations (e.g. Vietnam Food Administration - VFA, ASEAN, Codex, FDA, EFSA, etc.).
  • Prepare and submit product registration dossiers and license applications to competent authorities.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of regulatory approvals, ingredient lists, and compliance documentation.
  • Provide regulatory guidance to R&D, QA/QC, Sales, and Marketing teams during product development and commercialization.
  • Review product labels and advertising materials to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor changes in relevant food safety and chemical legislation and proactively communicate the impact to internal teams.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and governmental agencies to resolve regulatory issues.
  • Support regulatory audits and customer inquiries on documentation.
  • Assist in handling product recalls or regulatory investigations when necessary.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, or related fields.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in regulatory affairs in the food, beverage, or food chemical industry.
  • Familiarity with local and international food regulations and ingredient approval processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret legal and scientific documentation.
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Proficient in MS Office and document management systems.
