Regulatory Manager - Your future position?

As the Regulatory Manager, you will lead and manage the local regulatory team to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate guidelines. You will act as a key advisor to the business on regulatory matters, product safety, and compliance risks while driving operational excellence across regulatory processes and systems. In this role, you will report to the Senior Regulatory Manager, Taste & Wellbeing, and will be based in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

Regulatory Policy

• Lead and direct the local Regulatory team to provide internal and external customers with compliant product safety and regulatory expertise
• Identify emerging regulatory and legislative developments that may impact the business
• Advise business stakeholders on risks associated with safety and regulatory changes
• Interpret and implement applicable laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate business risks
• Coordinate product stewardship activities and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements

Processes & Systems

• Develop and execute systems and infrastructure to support key regulatory compliance and product safety initiatives
• Coordinate with global Regulatory Affairs, Product Safety (RAPS), and Model Office teams on process improvements and harmonization
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of regulatory databases and documentation

External Relations

• Represent Givaudan at industry associations, regulatory forums, and external stakeholder meetings
• Build and maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities and industry partners

People Management

• Lead, coach, and develop local Regulatory team members to achieve business and functional objectives
• Provide training, guidance, and mentoring to junior team members and new hires
• Promote a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on continuous learning and development
• Manage team priorities, resources, and performance to ensure effective service delivery

• Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field
• Advanced Degree is preferred
• 5-7 years of relevant regulatory affairs experience, preferably within the food, flavor, or related industries
• Strong leadership and people management capabilities with experience leading and developing teams
• Fluent in English; proficiency in the local language is essential
• Thorough understanding of product category regulations, regulatory trends, and market dynamics
• Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory systems, databases, and compliance processes
• Strong understanding of formula creation procedures and product development processes
• Extensive knowledge of industry and customer regulatory requirements, emerging trends, and pending legislation
• Knowledgeable in regional and global regulatory issues affecting the business
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
