We are seeking a hands-on Safety Specialist to join our manufacturing site in Binh Duong.
This role is site-focused and execution-driven, with a strong emphasis on contractor safety management, shopfloor risk control, and enforcement of safe work practices.
The position supports the implementation of the Occupational Health & Safety Management System in line with ISO 45001 and internal standards, working closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and contractors on a daily basis.
👉 This is not an environmental or office-based EHS role. Strong onsite presence and the ability to stop unsafe work are essential.
🔹 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1️⃣ Contractor Safety Management – PRIMARY FOCUS
- Manage and enforce safety requirements for all contractors and project activities on site
- Review contractor safety documentation including risk assessments, method statements, and permits to work (PTW)
- Conduct contractor safety induction and toolbox talks
- Monitor contractor activities and intervene immediately when unsafe conditions or behaviors are observed
- Exercise Stop Work Authority and reject contractor activities if safety requirements are not met
2️⃣ Site & Operational Safety
- Perform regular shopfloor safety inspections and safety observations
- Support and monitor safety controls related to:
- Machine safety
- Electrical safety
- Working at height
- Confined space entry
- Material handling and traffic safety
- Fire protection and emergency systems
- Promote safe behaviors and compliance with site safety rules for employees and contractors
- Support emergency response readiness (fire, evacuation, injury response)
3️⃣ OH&S System Implementation & Compliance
- Support the deployment and day-to-day execution of the OH&S Management System (ISO 45001)
- Participate in:
- Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA)
- Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
- Incident reporting and root cause investigation
- Track safety actions, audit findings, and corrective actions to closure
- Support internal, external, and regulatory inspections as required
4️⃣ Training & Safety Awareness
- Coordinate and deliver:
- New employee and contractor safety induction
- Task-based and refresher safety training
- Support safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and site safety initiatives
- Promote a positive, practical safety culture through daily engagement on site
🔹 AUTHORITY & DECISION MAKING
- Authority to stop unsafe work immediately
- Enforce compliance with site safety rules and procedures
- Reject contractor work that does not meet safety standards
- Recommend improvements to safety procedures, tools, and controls
