Sample Material Procurement Lead (Upper team)

1. Sample Material Procurement Management.
- Ensure timely sourcing and delivery of materials to meet development calendar and milestone deadlines.
- Manage material requests (BOM / material sheets) from development teams and convert them into procurement orders.

2. Development Calendar & Timeline Control.
- Track material readiness vs. sampling schedule to avoid delays in prototype, confirmation, and wear test stages.
- Identify critical path materials and proactively mitigate potential delays.

3. Supplier Coordination & Communication.
- Ensure suppliers understand technical specifications, MOQ flexibility, and sample quantity needs.
- Support supplier performance tracking for leadtime, responsiveness and development support.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration.

5. Material Tracking & Inventory Control.
- Maintain visibility of sample material inventory and usage.
- Track incoming materials, consumption, and leftover stock.
- Implement systems to reuse development materials when possible to reduce cost and waste.
- Ensure proper material labeling and traceability.

6. Process Improvement & System Management.

7. Team Leadership.

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Materials Management, or a related field.

- 5–8 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or materials management within footwear, apparel, or manufacturing industries.

- Minimum 2–3 years in a leadership or senior specialist role, preferably managing procurement activities for development or sampling materials.

- Experience supporting product development or sample creation processes is highly preferred.H16
