SUMMARY
- Job title: Senior Accountant.
- Work Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on experience in Finance/Accounting (General Accountant level or above).
- Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
- Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Auditing.
- Report to: Regional Finance Team
ROLE
To manage the end-to-end financial operations of the Vietnam entity, ensuring accuracy in daily execution (AP, AR, GL) and strict adherence to local statutory requirements. This role will act as the internal Statutory Chief Accountant, managing tax compliance and banking operations while serving as the primary liaison between local parties and the Regional Finance Team
EXPECTATIONS FROM YOU
A. Finance Operations & Execution (Daily Execution Focus)
- Accounts Payable (AP): Verify and process payments for vendors, suppliers, and employee reimbursements. Ensure all invoices are valid according to tax regulations (VAT invoices, contracts, liquidation minutes) before payment.
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Issue e-invoices to clients promptly upon service completion. Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on overdue debts to ensure timely cash collection.
- General Ledger (GL): Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet account reconciliations (Bank, AP, AR, etc.).
- Cost Management: Review and verify Cost Sheets and project expenses to ensure they align with the approved budget before submission for approval.
B. Treasury, Tax & Statutory Compliance (Critical Local Tasks)
- Banking: Manage daily banking operations.
- Tax Declaration: Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly tax declarations (VAT, PIT, CIT, FCT) accurately and on time to the Tax Authorities.
- External Liaison: Act as the primary representative to work with Tax Authorities, Banks, External Auditors, and Corporate Service Providers to resolve local administrative and legal issues.
- Document Management: Maintain a systematic digital and physical archiving system for accounting vouchers, contracts, and tax documents for future inspections
C. Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet) and cash flow forecasts for the Regional Finance Team.
- Translate and explain local accounting/tax issues to the Regional team to ensure alignment on compliance and risks.
