Senior IE

1. Job Purpose

• To lead IE and process improvement activities by driving accurate costing, optimizing production flow, reducing operational waste, and improving productivity through Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• To develop a strong IE team and build effective collaboration with production teams and factory workers.

2. Key Responsibilities

Costing & Cost Analysis

• Analyze production processes, SMV, manpower, and line layout for costing purposes
• Develop and maintain standardized SMV and IE databases
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Planning, and Production teams to review and optimize costing
• Propose improvement solutions to reduce production costs while maintaining product quality

Process Analysis & Standardization

• Conduct process flow analysis, work study, and time study
• Standardize operational methods, SOPs, and work instructions at production lines
• Design and improve sewing line layouts and line balancing
• Apply Lean manufacturing tools to:
  • Reduce motion waste
  • Minimize waiting time and WIP
  • Improve workflow and production efficiency

Productivity Improvement & Continuous Improvement

• Lead Kaizen, Continuous Improvement (CI), and Lean projects
• Monitor and analyze KPIs such as Efficiency, UPH, Output, and Bottlenecks
• Propose short-term and long-term improvement solutions
• Prepare improvement reports for Management, BOD, and customers when required

Employee & Production Line Collaboration

• Communicate effectively with operators, line leaders, and supervisors
• Build consensus and gain buy-in when implementing operational changes
• Resolve worker concerns related to methods, SMV, layout, and productivity
• Ensure improvement initiatives are effectively implemented on the production floor

Team Management & Development

• Lead, assign, and monitor IE team activities
• Coach and train junior IE staff in:
  • Time study
  • SMV calculation
  • Line balancing
  • Costing
• Evaluate team performance and capability development
• Build development plans and career pathways for IE team members

Other Duties

• Perform other tasks assigned by Operations Manager / Production Manager

Education & Experience

• Expertise in Industrial Engineering, Garment/Textile, Production Management, or related fields
• Experience in IE, Planning, or Production Analysis within garment manufacturing industry is preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of garment production flow, SMV/SAM, and line balancing
• Understanding of production planning and efficiency management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and coordination skills

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and production data analysis
• Experience with WFX or ERP systems is an advantage

Language

• Basic English communication and ability to read technical documents
