Senior Metrology Engineer - District 9

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

In charge of CT and 3D scanning technology, cooperate with cross-function team, include oversea team, such as US, Mexico, PRC colleagues.

Use CT and 3D technology to evaluate our part quality, help on new part qualification in an effectiveness and efficiency way.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

• Communicate with Engineering colleague to for the drawing dimension callout, to understand the purpose of CT / 3D scanning request.

• Take charge of ZEISS METROTOM CT, use GOM Inspect, VG studio, and Polyworks to evaluate part or product internal failure, interference, or part internal porosity, internal crack, color mapping to see where is in spec where is out of spec.

• Take charge of ZEISS ATOS Q 3D scanning use GOM Inspect, VG, and Polyworks to evaluate dimensions per part drawing, and color mapping to see where is in spec and where is out of spec.

• Communicate with Engineering colleague to interpret the evaluation result.

• Work with US, Mexico, and PRC colleague on technical alignment.

Job Requirement

REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor (or Master) of mechanical design engineering, mechanical engineering.

Experience : 3

Knowledge

• X-Ray personal certification will be preferred

• Familiar with CT, X-ray theory and application will be preferred 

• Good experience on ZEISS CT, and ATOS 3D scan will be preferred

• Good experience on GOM Inspect, VG Studio, and Polyworks will be preferred

• Establish measurement method, then train technicians for measurement method.
