Senior Mold Procurement Engineer

• To work with supplier for RFQ and ensure technical engineering and quality requirements are adequately defined and communicated to supplier.
• Review and critique product 2D drawing (tolerances).
• Review, evaluate and feedback on DFM made by supplier
• Develop, select, audit and evaluate mold and mold components suppliers/distributors
• Co-ordinate with Mold Design and mold suppliers for DFM and etc.
• Lead Supplier selection matrix for benchmark and conclusion
• To lead negotiation with mold suppliers for price, delivery, payment terms and contract requirements
• To liaise with mold suppliers for mold repairs and after-sales service
• Time control for new mold introduction and follow up with supplier for on-time FOT and approval status
• Trouble shooting together with suppliers, QA, and R&D

1. Education: Bachelor‘s degree in mechanical engineering or relevant major

2. Professional knowledge of: Mold design, DFM and mold fabrication process and equipment

3. Knowledge of computer servicing: Solid work, proficient with 3D CAD

4. Languages: Fluent spoken and written English

5. Professional experience: 

• 10+ years’ work experience in engineering field in an international company.
• Or 5+ years’ work experience in Mold Design or equivalent. 
• Prefered: Team player; knowledgeable of mold component and supply market

6. Other:

•  Aware of lean manufacturing techniques 
•  Project Management experience, assisting role
• Global sourcing experience on technical side
