Senior Product Developer - Merchandising

The Senior Product Developer – Merchandising, is responsible in executing the Product Development of the styles perfectly in terms of sourcing to finishing of the product till shipment.

1. Review and understand the technical worksheets, measurements, and standard requirements of the assigned brand/ customer.
2. Develop fabric, lab dips, trims/accessories, prints, embroidery etc for submission and ensure getting approval before buy ready or according to schedule for production.
3. To check on raw material information and the required yield for preparation of cost sheets.
4. Ensure samples must be submitted accordance to buyer’s specification and follow up on feedback.[1]
5. Execute and monitor the development processes to ensure Buy ready (Finalize) before bulk orders ie. all final templates, Tech pack, Construction worksheet, fit approval and any other information for bulk are in place for handover/ disseminate to the respective departments and factories.[2]
6. Conduct meetings with Development and bulk production team to ensure that the correct garment construction is executed based on buyer’s requirement.
7.  Assist & support the Merchandising Manager in ensuring the workflow within the team is smoothly executed and achieve good KPI.
8. Provide guidance to junior product developers/merchandisers.
9. Perform Merchandiser and Order Management role if needed.
10. Pt 1 - 9 need not be necessarily the JD of Senior product developer. Subject to the assigned brand/customer.
11. Perform other duties that may be assigned by superior from time to time

1. Min GCE O level or higher

2. More than 5 years’ experience in garment industry

3. Team player and meticulous, good communication, negotiation, and time management skills

Working Relationship

• INTERNAL KEY CUSTOMERS: Build and maintain good working relationship with buyers, suppliers, printers, team members
• EXTERNAL KEY CUSTOMERS: Build and maintain good working relationship with buyers, suppliers and printers

Key Accountabilities

• Execute all Styles development in accordance to buyer’s specification and requirement and all related documents are updated for both samples and production.
• Prepare all necessary Data clearly & with accuracy.
• Deliver and achieve good KPI(s) and set goals.
