Senior Quality Engineer

Work Location: VSIP I (Ho Chi Minh)

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB:

Responsible for maintaining and monitoring quality management systems and database, ensuring timely and accurate data updates, coordinating internal/external audits, managing calibration programs, tracking corrective actions, and managing quality database and performing quality data analysis to support compliance, continual improvement, and customer satisfaction.

1. QMS Audit & Compliance Management:

- Lead the Internal audit program and ensure its effective implementation across all functions.

- Act as the key point of contact for customer and external audits, ISO, RBA audit…Coordinating preparation, execution, and follow-up activities.

- Track audit findings and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.

- Maintain QMS documentation and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, RBA, customer requirements, and company procedures.

- Support management review activities and quality system improvement initiatives.

2. Calibration Control:

- Manage calibration program for measuring and monitoring equipment.
- Maintain calibration database and calibration status records.
- Coordinate with external calibration vendors and internal departments.
- Ensure equipment is calibrated on schedule and compliant with quality requirements.
- Support investigations related to out-of-calibration equipment and risk assessment activities.

3. Quality Database Management

- Maintain and monitor quality databases including KPI/COQ website, 8D Qualityze, NIR/CAR database, and other quality tracking systems.
- Verify data accuracy, integrity, and timely updates.
- Generate routine reports and dashboards for management review.
- Support system users and coordinate issue resolution related to quality databases.

4. Corrective Action Tracking & 8D Management

- Monitor and follow up 8D, CAR, NIR, and other corrective action activities.
- Track action item completion and escalate overdue tasks.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely closure of customer and internal issues.
- Verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.

5. Quality Data Analysis & Manage and Reporting

- Manage database and analyze quality performance metrics, COQ data, KPI data, audit findings, customer complaints, and corrective action effectiveness.
- Develop reports, charts, and presentations for management review.
- Identify improvement opportunities based on statistical analysis and quality indicators.
- Support continuous improvement projects with data-driven recommendations.

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or related field.

Working Experience:

- At least 5 years in Quality assurance, Quality system, Auditing or quality data analysis at international manufacturing company.

- Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems is required.

- Experience in calibration control and audit coordination is required.

- Familiarity with 8D, CAPA, management processes.

Abilities:

- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001).

- Understanding of audit methodologies and corrective action processes.

- Knowledge of calibration and measurement system control.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficient in Excel, database management, and quality reporting tools.

- Proficient Power BI is an advantage,

- Good communication and coordination skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
