Senior Specialist, Quantity Surveyor

Overview

• Prepare the Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
• Estimate costs and control the budget.
• Prepare bidding documents and contract documents

Key Responsibilities – Cost & Contract Management

• Prepare BOQ, cost estimates, review drawings, and source materials.
• Prepare reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, and other documentation.
• Perform cost analysis for design works and projects, including technical value engineering when required.
• Conduct general checks, cross-checks, and overall reviews of deliverables prepared by the QS Consultant/QS team.
• Carry out tender interviews and prepare tender evaluation reports.
• Prepare and analyze tender documents and provide recommendations on suppliers, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Negotiate and finalize contract terms and conditions.
• Provide advice on resolving contract claims.
• Update project cost plans and monthly/quarterly cash flow forecasts.
• Review completed works and contractor payment claims, certify based on actual progress, and arrange payments.
• Review and negotiate variation claims.
• Support final account negotiations and prepare the final cost report.
• Manage project contracts and contractor payment documentation in SAP in compliance with company processes and policies.

Partner Management

• Apply established procedures and delegated authority levels.
• Coordinate with the design/project team and other departments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Engineering is an advantage.
• 3–5 years of experience as a QS Engineer in the construction industry.
• Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of the QS role within a project.
• Knowledge and experience in FIDIC contracts.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight tender deadlines.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid knowledge of construction, materials, unit rates, and quantities.
• Good time management, analytical and big-picture thinking.
• Results-oriented, transparent, and ethical.
• Strong organizing and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing work environments and develop others/the team.
