JOB IN SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Specialist to support tax compliance, reporting, and audit activities for our operations in Vietnam. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate tax filings, supporting tax audits and inspections, and maintaining compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams and external advisors to support tax operations and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who possesses strong technical tax knowledge, hands-on compliance experience, and effective stakeholder management skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the implementation of tax compliance initiatives, identify tax risks and opportunities, including monitoring changes in tax laws, and assessing their impact on business operations.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of all local and national tax filings across all entities, overseeing comprehensive tax compliance.
Manage complex tax computations, supporting documentation, and regulatory alignment, while supporting tax audits as one of the contact points with consultants and authorities
Support internal stakeholders by providing tax guidance and assessing tax implications of business transactions and operational activities.
Manage the process of obtaining and renewing all necessary licenses, permits, and registrations, maintaining a comprehensive database.
Handle land-use-right matters, including agreements, title issues, negotiations, and collaboration with relevant parties for dispute resolution.
Collaborate, review, and negotiate complex contracts to ensure tax alignment, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with government authorities and tax officials.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure tax compliance integration, provide training, and proactively improve related processes.
Maintain accurate records of all tax and compliance documents, prepare necessary reports for senior management, and ensure compliance with internal controls.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field (a professional tax qualification is a plus).
Proven experience in Tax management or similar role, experience in a multinational B2B setting is a plus, ideally food processing or manufacturing.
Experience in tax compliance, tax audits, tax reporting, and effective liaison with tax authorities
In-depth, up-to-date knowledge of Vietnamese tax laws, regulations, and compliance (VAT, CIT, PIT, Customs, international tax).
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Fluent in both written and spoken English and Vietnamese.
