Site engineer

• Work closely with Production Manager to oversee and make plan for team member so as to ensure all tasks complete in a timely manner. 
• Carry out pre-work planning 
• Ensure compliance to the quality procedures & standard of workmanship. Checking on quality and quantity of work.
• Prepare and update production progress status based on project master schedule if found delay on the planned time shall highlight to production manager
• Adherence safety practices/procedures are carried out in the workplace
• Able to read and understand the drawings for steel structural and piping works 
• Review new drawings from Document Controller (DC) and to raise any discrepancies and details issues
• Ensure team uses latest drawing issued from DC
• Conduct daily tool box meeting 
• Prepare Permit-to-work 
• Responsible to assign and oversee machining job by CNC Supervisor 
• Utilise best practice to carry duties such as safe keeping machined items, delivering to keep tidy and return empty rack to CNC workshop (E.g the rack to keep small items from cnc after cutting and send to workshop to fabricate, sup incharge must be keep tidy up and return empty rack to cnc workshop
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned

• Basic written and spoken English capability
• Familiar with fabrication drawing and fabrication sequence (e.g fit up…)
• 2 years relevant experience in experience in structural and piping works in oil and gas / marine / steel fabrication industry
•  Degree in mechanical engineering or relavant engineering
