SMT Production Supervisor

Responsible for direct supervising production operations of SMT to control quality, efficiency, and on time delivery performance.

GENERAL:

• Guide the member of team to do the tasks and follow up progresses, push and support.
• Following special tasks given from seniors and BOD.
• Give special tasks assignment for team and follow up.
• Weekly review the open tasks with team and update to follow up.
• Encourage SMT team to make improvement.

MANPOWER:

• Weekly workforce planning and optimization to reach the target as planned.
• Monthly check and update manpower status, suggest to increase or decrease workers base on production plan to get more efficiency of production.
• Work close with all team to build up relationship and team work spirit.
• Create machine & manpower planning for next quarters/ coming months
• Train people to help improving their knowledge and skills.
• To ensure worker follow company rule and discipline.

PRODUCTION:

• Responsible for the execution of the production plan (Forming, PnP, MI, Testing, Coating…)
• Responsible to organize the workflow and job distribution in SMT departments to minimize movement and mix-up product.
• Monitoring efficiency - output of each process to adjust resources, workflow as necessary to meet the production plan.
• Frequently alignment with other related functions to align on how to improve things.
• Monitoring production after Rework process for NG product to ensure good product quality.
• Contact person for SMT related quality between sections and other departments to improve and control quality, set up quality control plan. Support to analysis and report for Quality issue
• Support daily SMT production reports.
• Support to improve all documentation, reports use for SMT department.
• Create the standards, guidelines then check and follow up 5S implementation and improvements. Attend 5S scan for production.

COST CONTROLLING:

• Check and control what are using in production, record and follow up.
• Set up consumption for each and set up the plan to reduce the cost for the item which cost money a lot.
• Continuous improvement by try to find out more suppliers which can bring the good quality and lower price.

WASTE REDUCTION:

• Work out what need improve more or change the processes to reduce waste from production
• Encourage team members to find out the solution and apply the improvement idea from them in order to reduce the waste.
• Give suggestions and discuss together with related persons in case find out any waste which can be reduced.

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical - Electronics Engineering, Automation, or related technical fields.
2. Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in SMT (Surface Mount Technology) electronics manufacturing, including practical experience in SMT processes such as: Forming, Pick & Place, MI (Manual Insertion), Testing, Coating, etc.
3. Leadership, personnel management; ability to develop production plans, monitor performance, and implement improvement initiatives.
4. Proficient in production reporting and control tools (experience with MS Office and ERP systems is an advantage).
5. Thorough understanding of SMT production line operations and processes.
6. Knowledge of 5S, quality control, cost control, and waste reduction in manufacturing.
7. Ability to analyze production data and propose process improvement recommendations.
8. Ability to work effectively under high pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Good English communication skills.
