Sourcing Category Specialist (work in Quang Ngai)

• Define sourcing and procurement requirements with internal teams and management, ensuring alignment with corporate goals;
• Travel extensively across Vietnam operations to source sub-material suppliers, attend trade shows, and nurture new vendor relationships;
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, sustainability, and competitiveness;
• Develop and manage pricing structures for sub-materials, negotiate terms, and handle product development;
• Establish and enforce quality control systems, drive process improvements, and monitor testing procedures to optimize throughput and quality;
• Keep up-to-date on market trends, competition, and legislation, sharing insights with the team;
• Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to ensure accurate supplier information, pricing, and timely deliveries;
• Support Sourcing & Development Manager and Operations Director with special projects as needed.

1.    Education:

• Required – University graduate, major in Supply Chain/ Technical is an advantage.

2.    Experience:

• Over 3-year experience in sub material development or Purchasing;
• Proven track record of success measured by increased responsibility and attainment of prescribed objectives.

3.    Knowledge of:

• Quality control methods;
• Sub material construction, quality, price points;
• Knowledgeable about furniture materials;
• Understanding of supply chain and logistics concepts;
• Knowledge of testing protocol and understanding quality standards.

4.    Skills and Abilities:

• Good communication English skills;
• Professionally qualified in sub-material processing and manufacturing;
• Strong multi-tasking skills; 
• Strong data analysis capabilities;
• Strong vendor assessment skills;
• Familiar with maintaining suppliers’ database;
• Negotiation expertise and excellent communication skills;
• Problem-solving & Project management;
• Ability to document technical matters clearly;
• Trend conscious/ awareness.
