[Tân Phú, HCM] Materials Technology Engineer (Hardline)

Eurofins CPT Vietnam is seeking a technically strong and hands-on Hardlines Lab Technician to conduct testing activities for furniture, toys, and juvenile products in accordance with international standards.The position requires strong technical discipline, physical readiness for handling heavy furniture and household products, and willingness to travel to factories when required.

This role is ideal for candidates with 2-4 years of relevant laboratory experience or graduates from Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering backgrounds who are looking to develop their technical career in an international testing environment.

1. Sample Receiving & Preparation

• Receive and verify incoming samples (Furniture, Toys, Juvenile products, etc.) together with assigned test methods and protocols.
• Ensure correct identification and preparation before testing.

2. Testing Execution

• Perform testing in strict accordance with assigned test methods and international standards.
• Ensure full compliance with technical and procedural requirements.
• Operate within ISO 17025 Quality Management System framework.

3. Data Recording & Result Evaluation

• Record testing data accurately and systematically.
• Consolidate and evaluate testing results.
• Ensure that release reports are accurate, clear, and technically sound.

4. Factory Assignments

• Conduct on-site testing and business trips to factories when required by company and management.

5. Additional Assignments

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications – Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical majors with strong technical foundation, or related fields
• 2-4 years of experience in Hardlines / Furniture / Toys testing laboratories
• Strong command of English (technical reading & communication)
• Solid knowledge of laboratory testing processes and international standards
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Technical Expertise

• Strong familiarity with ISO 17025 systems and audit processes
• In-depth knowledge of testing standards, such as:
  • Furniture: ANSI/BIFMA (X5.1, X5.4, X5.5, X5.9), EN standards
  • Toys: ASTM F963, EN 71, ISO 8124
  • Juvenile products: relevant ASTM/EN standards
• Experience in data validation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
