Job Description

The Technical Training Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs to enhance workforce capability in manufacturing operations. This role focuses on identifying skill gaps, building structured training systems, and ensuring training effectiveness to support productivity, quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify training needs and skill gaps; design and deliver technical and On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs to improve employee performance.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to develop training solutions aligned with operational requirements.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, certifications, and manufacturing KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage and optimize the Training Management System, including training records, databases, and learning tools.
  • Develop and standardize training materials, procedures, and documentation (e.g., skill matrix, training modules, work instructions).
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards, internal procedures, and audit requirements.
  • Lead and develop internal trainers to ensure training quality and consistency across operations.
  • Support cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives related to capability development.

Job Requirement

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Education, or related fields.

Experience

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in technical training, production, or engineering in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in training development, OJT, or workforce capability building is preferred.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technical training methods.
  • Experience with training systems, documentation, and competency frameworks.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to use data/KPIs to evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams.
  • Good command of English.
