      Job Description

      • Database Administration: Take proactive measures to administer and maintain the organization's Oracle databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. Performance measures: database uptime, response time, and system availability
      • Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks by optimizing queries, indexes, and database configurations. Performance measures: query response time, system throughput, and resource utilization
      • Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity. Performance measures: backup success rate, recovery time objective (RTO), and recovery point objective (RPO).
      • Security Management: Maintain database security by managing user access controls, privileges, and data encryption. Performance measures: compliance with security standards, vulnerability remediation, and incident response time.
      • Database Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance activities such as patching, monitoring, and capacity planning to ensure optimal database performance and resource utilization. Performance measures: maintenance schedule adherence, resource utilization efficiency, and capacity forecasting accuracy.
      • Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators and application developers, to provide database support and ensure seamless integration. Performance measures: response time to support requests, customer satisfaction surveys, and successful collaboration on projects.

      Job Requirement

      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology
      • 4 years experience as a Database Administrator, specifically with Oracle database systems.
      • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database query optimization
      • Understanding of database security principles and best practices.
      • Knowledge of cloud-based database services, such as Oracle Cloud or Amazon RDS
