ENGINEERING DOCUMENTATION LEAD

1. Lead the Document Engineering team

 - Assign and follow up daily work of the documentation team (BOM, ECN, drawings, new part requests)

- Be the main contact point for technical documents, BOM topics with cross team (Mechanical, Hardware, India Engineering team)

2. ECN process

- Run each ECN from start to finish: change request, BOM update, drawing and document update, approval, release

- Notify India site engineers when an ECN is released and track it until it is implemented

- Lead the regular ECN review meeting with the India engineering team.

3. Manage product data for projects:

- Create new part numbers and build the Engineering BOM in SAP, and update BOM when Product Change requested

- Control revision for technical documents (assembly instructions, test instructions) and drawings

- Prepare and update the product specification for SIQ submission and customer approval

- Act as the final completeness check before documents are released to India.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electronics or related fields)

- At least 4 years in engineering documentation, BOM or change management in a manufacturing environment

- Experience leading or guiding a small team is preferred.

Technical Knowledge

- Strong understanding of product BOM structures (single-level and multi-level)

- Hands-on experience with ECN/PCR change control and document version control

- Able to read mechanical drawings, electrical drawings, PCB layouts, component datasheets, test instructions and assembly instructions

- Experience with NPI product data (part numbers, initial BOM, product specification) is a strong plus.

Software

- SAP ERP: material master creation, multi-level BOM management, stock checking, info record and pricing, BOM cost calculation.

- AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator for drawing and printing updates

- Microsoft Office, Power Apps, Power Automate is a plus.

- Experience with a DMS or PLM system is a plus

Language

- Good in English (speaking and technical reading)
