Plastic Injection Molding Manager

Our client is a foreign-invested company, now looking for a Plastic Injection Molding Manager ($1700, ID21609)

• Leadership & Talent Growth: Steer and mentor the Mold Maintenance Technician along with the Injection Leader; define operational goals, conduct regular performance assessments, and enhance technical competencies across the department.

• Task Coordination & Escalation Handling: Structure daily and weekly team assignments according to manufacturing priorities; act as the highest technical reference for resolving operational challenges and complex field issues.

• Departmental Culture: Cultivate a workplace focused on strict safety protocols, individual accountability, and continuous process optimization.

• Equipment Investment & Tooling Validation: Evaluate tooling blueprints against global group criteria prior to release; formulate capital expenditure plans and project expected ROI for new machinery and molds.

• Process Standardization & Trial Management: Establish precise processing parameters (fill rate, pressure profiles, hold times, cooling) during mold trials; execute qualification protocols for new materials and molds to guarantee parts meet exact dimensional and aesthetic standards.

• Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement: Execute efficiency initiatives using lean tools (5S, SMED, Kanban) to reduce cycle times and lower scrap rates; ensure control plans and engineering documentation remain continuously updated.

• Defect Resolution & Standards Enforcement: Diagnose and eradicate moulding defects (short shots, flash, warpage, sink marks, dimensional drift); coach operators on process parameters and uphold rigorous 5S standards across production and engineering areas.

• Male, aged between 35 and under 45.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

• At least 8 years of hands-on experience in plastic injection molding, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management position. Experience within foreign-invested enterprises (FDI), ISO-certified plants, or sectors such as sanitary fittings, automotive, or precision manufacturing is highly advantageous.

• Deep technical command of injection process setup (fill/pack/cooling profiles, gate dynamics) and mold architectures (hot/cold runner, multi-cavity, insert molding). Ability to review and evaluate CAD drawings.

• Strong knowledge of engineering polymers (PP, POM, ABS, PA) and their shrinkage/warpage characteristics during processing.

• Practical experience applying problem-solving frameworks and lean methodologies (8D, Ishikawa, SMED, 5S, Kanban).

• Language: Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) for executive reporting, international vendor interaction, and technical documentation.
