JOB SUMMARY
1- The Preventive Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining production equipment in optimal operating condition through preventive maintenance activities, troubleshooting, reliability improvement, and continuous equipment optimization. The role supports production by minimizing equipment downtime, improving machine performance, and ensuring maintenance activities comply with company safety and quality standards.
2- Coordinate with PRD/ QA/ global engineering teams, vendors in equipment-related topics to ensure the development of equipment in production and technical knowledge in PM team
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
A - Preventive Maintenance
1. Execute preventive maintenance (PM) activities according to the maintenance schedule.
2. Inspect equipment condition and identify potential failures before breakdown occurs.
3. Ensure all PM checklists and maintenance records are completed accurately.
4. Improve PM procedures to enhance equipment reliability.
B - Breakdown Support
1. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation issues.
2. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring machine failures.
3. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate repeated breakdowns.
4. Provide technical support to Production during equipment failures.
C - Equipment Reliability Improvement
1. Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve machine reliability.
2. Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
3. Improve MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and reduce MTTR (Mean Time To Repair).
4. Support machine modification and equipment upgrades when required.
D - Spare Parts Management
1. Identify critical spare parts for production equipment.
2. Support spare parts planning and inventory optimization.
3. Recommend replacement parts and cost-saving alternatives where applicable.
E - Documentation & Compliance
1. Maintain maintenance history and equipment documentation.
2. Update maintenance standards, SOPs, and work instructions.
3. Ensure maintenance activities comply with Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements.
4. Participate in machine installation, commissioning, and acceptance activities.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related fields
- Experience
1. Minimum 2–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
2. Experience with automated production equipment is preferred.
- Functional Skills:
PLC troubleshooting (Mitsubishi, Siemens, Omron, or equivalent)
Basic PLC program monitoring and modification
HMI troubleshooting
Industrial communication (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, CC-Link or equivalent)
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
AutoCAD (preferred)
PLC programming software (GX Works2/3, TIA Portal, CX-Programmer, etc.)
