Job Summary
The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing and procurement strategies that ensure cost competitiveness, quality, timely delivery, and compliance with company policies. The role manages supplier relationships, contract negotiations, purchasing operations, and supports business growth through effective procurement practices
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Procurement
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and supplier optimization.
- Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supply risks to support sourcing decisions.
- Build annual procurement plans and budgets.
2. Supplier Management
- Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard new suppliers.
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers.
- Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations based on quality, delivery, service, and cost.
- Manage supplier corrective action plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Sourcing & Contract Management
- Lead RFQ, RFP, and tendering processes.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, service levels, and commercial contracts.
- Ensure all supplier agreements comply with company policies and local regulations.
- Maintain contract database and monitor contract renewals.
4. Purchasing Operations
- Oversee the purchase order process from requisition to delivery.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
- Collaborate with planning, warehouse, finance, and operations teams to maintain inventory levels.
- Resolve supply disruptions and delivery issues proactively.
5. Cost & Budget Management
- Deliver annual procurement savings targets.
- Analyze total cost of ownership (TCO) when making sourcing decisions.
- Monitor procurement spend and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare procurement reports and spend analysis for management.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Quality, and Logistics teams.
- Support new product introductions by sourcing qualified suppliers.
- Participate in business planning and supply chain optimization initiatives.
7. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with Vietnamese regulations, company procurement policies, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and audit readiness.
8. Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the procurement team.
- Set KPIs and monitor team performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
